It is the responsibility of each type within this Triad to get in touch - in some cases, wake up - their anger in an appropriate fa shion. It is this anger that drives them to bring change to the world. These types are angry because of the state of the world. The types within this Triad are the most aware that the world does not always work as it should. However, “anger” reveals their driving motivation. This means that they aren’t mor e in need of anger management than the other types. But anger is not necessarily the “issue” with these three types. As we discussed in the previous article, each Triad has its own root wound. BackgroundĪnger is the common word attached to the Gut Triad. And we will continue our conversation on the correlati ng elements between the se two dominant personality systems. If you are new to the Enneagram, this article and the remaining two will also provide a basic overview of the Enneagram. We will look at the most likely MBTI types to align with them. The Gut (or “Instinctive” Triad) is composed of three types: the Eight, Nine, and One. In this second installment, w e will specifically be examining the first Triad of the Enneagram. We begin that process in this article as we examine the three first Enneagram types. Our understanding of our MBTI type will only be enhanced and grown through an understanding of the Enneagram. Through picking up each one, we can find the path to a deeper and richer self-understanding. We must become knowledgeable in every type because knowledge of all the types guides us to more of lost shards of our soul.

But knowing your primary type is not enough. Our primary Enneagram type is the most helpful in unlocking our motivations, behaviors, and pasts. As we discussed in the first installment of the seri es, we have a piece of every Enneagram type within us.
